During his visit to the King Fahad Medical City for the signature of a SR 1.18 billion agreement for the construction of specialized medical centers at KFMC in Riyadh, Saudi Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, along with the CEOs of 11 medical cities, visited the medical records site at KFMC to observe the progress of the move towards electronic health information management since his last visit in December 2011.

The Minister was very pleased to see that scores of mobile shelves had been physically removed and made available digitally, giving up the space again for other uses. His Excellency also observed how MedLogic works, and sampled the new electronic forms, and the robust workflow that tackles medical record deficiencies, in addition to the self-service dedicated for patients to print out their own medical reports.

KFMC CEO and Executive Director Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Amro was also present during the visit and mentioned that next time and every time the Minister visits, there will always be a major stride in improvement.

Located in Riyadh, KFMC is one of the largest independent medical cities in the Middle East consisting of a main hospital, a women’s specialist hospital, a children’s hospital and a rehabilitation hospital. In addition to the four hospitals, KFMC also features additional medical centers on its campus including the Prince Salman Cardiac Center, a Neuroscience Center, the Prince Sultan Hematology and Oncology Center and the Specialized Diabetes and Endocrine Center.
