| OverviewTriton is a multilingual content management system. It separates the design aspect from the content of a website whether on the Internet, Intranet or Extranet enabling content contributors to update their respective sections of the website while keeping the control of who updates and what can get updated. The optional workflow system enables you to control how information gets approved before being published on the website.
Triton completely separates site content from layout. As a result site content can be modified without affecting layout and vice versa. With this approach non-technical people can add, edit and delete content (text, images ...) without any knowledge of site design concepts which is left to the corporate IT department or professional designers.
The system uses a comprehensive authentication and security system to control user roles and privileges (add, edit, delete, publish…etc), each user can manage his own part doing the operations he is authorized to do. What is Content Management?Websites are the media of choice today for sharing information whether with customers through your internet site or with employees and staff through your intranet sites or with partners through your extranet sites. The volume of this information is growing rapidly causing websites to grow in size and complexity making their update a painful process for content contributors as well as the IT department.
The digital content lifecycle consists of six primary phases: create, update, publish, translate, archive and retire. For example, an instance of digital content is created by one or more authors. Over time that content may be edited. One or more individuals may provide some editorial oversight thereby approving the content for publication. Publishing may take many forms.
Publishing may be the act of pushing content out to others, or simply granting digital access rights to certain content to a particular person or group of persons. Later that content may be superseded by another form of content and thus retired or removed from use. Benefits- Ability to create a website in less than an hour.

- Sites are defined in a tree structure, each branch has his own properties and linked pages, any modifications made to the parent are automatically copied to child branch if requested by the user.
- Triton can import text files from various sources.
- Analyzes text files and extract important and repeated words to insert them in meta tags.
- Pictures and their comments can be inserted in any place on page, in indexes and body text.
- The user can insert HTML or script objects in any place on the page.
- Triton can generate a linked index to a group of pages, all the user has to do is to select the pages, and the rest is automatic. Pictures can also be added to index titles.
- Triton automatically generates summaries that can be edited by the system manger.
- The system can merge index options together (like subject, author ….).
- Pictures size can be enlarged or reduced automatically to fit index size.
- Icons can be added to indexes.
- Advertisements can be added on top or bottom of page and in index fields.
- Triton has an integrated dual language full featured Arabic WYSIWYG HTML editor with very powerful capabilities like drag and drop, tables, columns, etc.
- Pictures can be imported in batch mode from dozens of formats and converted to GIF or JPG format with automatic size and resolution control.
- The site can be published easily using FTP to any server from within Triton. |
